“The Countdown Years” brings the music, energy and nostalgia of Australia’s most iconic television music show to the stage in a spectacular 2-hour live concert.

Created by Ian “Molly” Meldrum and the pioneering ABC-TV team, Countdown ran from 1974 to 1987 and became a defining part of Australian pop culture, introducing audiences to some of the biggest artists and songs of the era.

Featuring recorded narration from original Countdown host Gavin Wood, featuring Tottie Goldsmith and presented by Silverfox, this high-energy production delivers the songs you know and love — performed live with a dynamic band and powerhouse vocalists.

Expect a hit-packed trip through the Countdown years, celebrating music from INXS, The Angels, Men at Work, John Paul Young, Pseudo Echo, Dragon, Mondo Rock, Mental As Anything, Blondie, Tina Turner, Pat Benatar, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp and many more.
