CLUB GRANTS
Clubs across NSW give back to their communities in a number of different ways. This includes through employment of locals and support of businesses when they buy goods and services within the local community. The other way is by donations. Donations take many forms but can typically be categorised by either cash donations, sponsorship of sport or in-kind (IK) donations such as providing free or discounted meals or waiving room hire for meetings and events.
You can apply for any donation of modest value all year round. However, if your organisation is looking for significant funds, you will have to wait until March each year where the Category 1 (Cash) projects are funded. Some of these projects support projects as large as $10,000 or more.
Your local community organisation can apply for donations from Bowlo Sports and Leisure under the Club Grants Scheme.
So how do I apply?
Just follow these steps:

Determine whether you require cash (Cash) or In-Kind (IK) support

Determine whether your project would be considered Category 1 or Category 2 funding by reading the Club Grants Guidelines: Read the guidelines here

Click on 1 of the four options below that best suit your request. This will take you to the appropriate Club Grants application page.

If it’s your organisations first time applying for Club Grants you will need to create a new account. Otherwise, use your organisations username (UN) and password (PW) to start a new request.

Follow the instructions to apply for funding.

When you submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation.

REQUESTS FOR CASH
Category 1 (Cash)
If your project falls under specific community welfare and social services, community development, health services and employment assistance activities, and other projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.
Typically applications for Category 1(Cash) open in March and close at the end of June each year. Successful applicants are normally funded in July-September.
Category 2 (Cash)
This includes things such as junior and senior sport/grassroots sport or veteran welfare activities.
Expenditure on any other community development and support services.
REQUESTS OF IN-KIND DONATIONS
Category 1 (IK)
You are not looking for cash donation but your purpose falls under specific community welfare and social services, community development, health services and employment assistance activities, and other projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people. This typically includes waiving or hire fees, donating services, products and facilities that can be used to raise funds for an organisation’s purpose
Category 2 (IK)
You are not looking for a cash donation but Expenditure on any other community development and support services. This includes things such as junior and senior sport/grassroots sport or veteran welfare activities.
